Our Mission

Sullivan Pottery is more than just a pottery studio and supplier. We are a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive community that values creativity, connection, and growth. Our mission is to inspire artists to pursue their passion for ceramics and to provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. We employ professional potters as instructors, offering expert instruction and advice, encouraging you to pursue whatever path in pottery you choose to take. We are an active part of the Alabama arts community, and want to share the experience of clay with everyone. We provide workshops, ceramic supplies, pottery classes and studio memberships for potters in Huntsville, Alabama and surrounding areas in North Alabama.

In 2011, a small group of potters looking for a place to create, rented a space on Sullivan Street in Madison, AL. Fast forward to 2023, those same potters now occupy an 8000 square foot community studio in Huntsville, AL that supports potters at all stages of their journey!

Our studio is full of people who support, encourage, and share their ideas and knowledge with one another. Please stop by or get in touch today and see what we’re all about. We are the oldest and largest community pottery studio in North Alabama and we would love to introduce you to our community and tell you about our pottery classes, workshops, memberships and more.
