About the event
David Edwards, a celebrated ceramic artist known for his remarkable large-scale pieces, is teaching an exclusive four-part series designed to help you master the art of creating big pots. Each class is an individual project so you can pick and choose which classes you come to. Â This series is an exceptional opportunity for both seasoned and aspiring potters to learn advanced techniques and refine their skills under the guidance of a true expert.
The third class in the GO BIG! ... or go home series is Moon Jars.  David will lead you step by step on how to center larger amounts of clay on the wheel and how to use effective throwing methods to create dramatic, round moon jar vases. Moon Jars are large, round vases that resemble the moon. David will teach you how to throw them, demo how to trim them and talk about the history of these vases.  This  class is a great chance to enhance your skills, receive expert advice, and be inspired by a master in the field.
Please bring your favorite clay and tools, or purchase them at the studio. And don't forget an apron or a towel for your lap, or both. Â Firings and use of studio glazes are included.Â
Skill Level: Intermediate. Having basic pottery skills and the ability to throw on the wheel is needed.Â
This is a rare chance to elevate your craft with the guidance of a true expert. Don’t let it slip away—register now and take your ceramics to new heights with David Edwards! Be on the lookout for the next class in the GO BIG! ...or go home series.
