About the event

Come learn about the traditional Navajo Horsehair raku technique and participate in a community firing. This technique is used by the Navajo to honor a horse or celebrate the birth of a horse. It uses the horse hair to imprint beautiful delicate line designs into the pottery. You can bring your own pieces to fire or pieces will be provided for you.  Dress for the Occasion:

Since this event takes place outdoors, be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Comfort and safety is key as you immerse yourself in this artistic adventure! Wear shoes and clothing that are appropriate for working around flames.
