Let's Face It! Sculpture Workshop with Nan Jacobsohn, March 21-22

Sullivan Pottery is honored to have acclaimed artist Nan Jacobsohn back to lead a workshop on creating expressive figurative sculpture. Don't be intimidated if you've never sculpted: This is a beginner friendly workshop! Nan is a skilled educator and she can help everyone, of any experience level, learn to sculpt!

We will be exploring the creation of vibrant, expressive facial features in this workshop. We will address how the face changes as we progress from childhood to the elder years and how to express a variety of emotions. Participants are welcome to work from photos of a particular person or take inspiration from various members of the class. Techniques for hollowing, finishing, and use of textures will also be covered. Take this opportunity to let Nan guide you in her unique way of expanding your skills beyond what you could even imagine. We promise you’ll love it!
