Sgraffito, Mishima and Brush Making with Susan Coe

We are excited to invite you to join Susan Coe for a double workshop! For the sgraffito and mishima workshop, Susan will be teaching you how to decorate your work with beautiful handcarved sgraffito techniques. Sgraffito and mishima combine the use of colored slip or underglaze and carving or inlay to create beautiful contrast and stunning decorative effects. For the second workshop, Susan will guide you through the process of making your own handcrafted brushes for using when decorating your work. Using handcrafted brushes is an incredible experience that elevates simple brushwork to art form. Choose which workshop you'd like to attend, or take both!
